To the yous.

A flood of feelings visited today.

You're still the one holding the record for the longest phone call.

You? You're the one I've known since forever, and we're still in contact. It's amazing.

You, I doubt I'd ever find someone as humble as you.

And hey,

I miss silences that I've had with you.

You and the way you trusted me and the way you were always in the background, just in case.

You made me even more aware of the "I'm sorry"s, the "I Promise"s people make.

You taught me to say "So What?!" and that's gotten me through quite a few things.

You made me see that a dreamer has to come down, that people back here need me anchored. 

(and I have yet to learn that properly)

You reminded me that I've been through worse. 

And although at that time it was not appreciated, it worked.

You go along with my long-winded plans, and it gives me hope.

Your no-nonsense and frank attitude makes me see properly, and I laugh.

You push me into trying new things. Thank you.

You look up to me, and it's one of the reasons I try so hard.

Yes, these 'you's i speak of are different people.

Family, friends, the occasional acquaintance.

You're unique.

Remember that.

No-one could replace you,

in any shape or form.
