What if.....?

What if?

Those are such powerful (yet underestimated) words.
"what if...?"
The words that make you fantasize, and fall,
for the things that we conjure up.

"what if...?"
Makes us discover so much more,
encourages us to "try it", "you can always step back".

and when we get to the reality of things,
We wait some more,
in anticipation of something. anything.

and a while later we realise,
the 'what if's made things so much..more.

The waiting leading up to the actual events seemed to be the point of it all.
the real events themselves were normal.
average.
Drab, even.

They don't live up to our little dreams,
tainted with glitter and smiles;
where the voices of others are the soundtrack.

We learn that fantasies and reality
Will always stay apart.
